we petition the obama administration to:
Reconcider all petitions on cannabis without input from the ONDCP because they are required to oppose legalization.
According to Title VII Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998: Responsibilities: The Director "Drug Czar" (12) shall ensure that no Federal funds . . .study or contract relating to the legalization (for a medical use or any other use) of a substance listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812) and take such actions as necessary to oppose any attempt to legalize the use of a substance (in any form) that-- (A) is listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812); and (B) has not been approved for use for medical purposes by the Food and Drug Administration.

Therefore the office of the ONDCP is not reliable. Science has shown it to be less harmful than alcohol and for many, a safe medicine.

  2. They can reconsider it a million times, they'll never change their minds, and sadly all these petitions do is tell them that there are still individuals who disagree with their decisions, but honestly no matter how small the decision may seem someone will always disagree and nothing will change. I'm not this much of a cynic, but face the facts. The only way we're going to have an effect is if we can convince the public, not the government, but sadly education on this issue to the public is largely in the hands of the government, until we start producing our own PSA's and making more people aware of the REAL facts out there, we're never going to effect a change.

As long as we don't have someone like Ron Paul, no amount of petition can amount to anything. Lawmakers still don't want to ruffle the feathers of the conservatives of America.

  4. I never understood that either, because clearly there has been a shift in America, there is no longer a majority of conservatives in this country and yet we still don't want to ruffle their feather as if they still hold all the power.....seems a bit biased in my opinion, but what can we do. Perhaps we should start up a collection for posting PSA's that teach the true facts surrounding THC and it's supposed dangers. Perhaps if more Americans were aware of those things the conservatives would lose even more power. I suppose it's true though, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and sadly all the rich seem to be conservative. Wonder what that says about our country.
